| The City Council Singers led by Rich Kalman will open the Berkeley Arts Festival in BART Plaza with Mal Sharpe serving as emcee. Shattuck Ave from University to Channing will become a Music Circus as flocks of musicians including Randy Porter, Dan Plonsey, Fran Holland, Sarah Cahill, Oluyemi Thomas, Nels Bruseth, Irene Sazar, John Schott, Sy Klopps, and Jerry Kuderna play from street corners, fire escapes and rooftops. The Berkeley Public Library's Poets Corner will include Ivan Argüelles, Jack and Adelle Foley, Floyd Salas, Richard Silberg, John Oliver Simon, Jennifer Stone, Julia Vinograd. |
