An exciting new ensemble on the Bay Area music scene, SFCO All-Stars Antoine van Dongen and Eric Gaenslen team up with pianist Mark Anderson to create a fabulous trio whose Classical at the Freight debut will knock your socks off.

Classical at the Freight brings in some of the Bay Area's best classical musicians for an hour of outstanding chamber music in an informal, friendly atmosphere. San Francisco Chamber Orchestra music director Ben Simon hosts. There's no stuffiness, no mystification, just an invigorating evening with gifted musicians sharing the beauty and joy of this timeless art with new audiences of all ages.

A terrific set of twos and premieres! The program features a pair of West Coast premieres by Rene Orth and Music Alive composer-in-residence Anna Clyne.
Pianist Conrad Tao returns to the Zellerbach stage by popular demand to perform the Rachmaninoff and the Liszt under the baton of New Zealand-born conductor Gemma New. Recently named assistant conductor at the Cabrillo Festival, Ms. New is Music Director for the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra in Ontario, Canada and Resident Conductor for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
