WomenSing presents: Beginnith A Bang: Strike the Drum and Join the Chorus! ing W

Join WomenSing as we celebrate the rebirth and renewal of the season of Christmas, Solstice and the New Year. Come hear both exciting new repertoire and cherished music from concerts past, including "O Viridissima Virga," "The Joy of Children, Patapan" and an audience sing-along of "Silent Night." This high-spirited performance will feature percussion in a joyous mix of Benjamin Britten, African rhythms, and the intricate voicing of Libby Larsen.

With this concert we extend enthusiastic welcome to our new Artistic Director, Ofer dal Lal, who brings to WomenSing his warm and engaging personality, enthusiasm, and, not least, his artistic talent. We are excited at the prospect of working with dal Lal, who has taken the Bay Area choral scene by storm in recent years. Experience his talent first-hand at our first concerts series of the year!

Crowden Music Center presents:

Experience the rare treat of two exceptional award-winning cellists, Meta Weiss and David Requiro, joining forces as a duo.

The Weiss-Requiro Duo prides itself in championing works by new composers and breathing new life into old favorites. As individuals, cellists David Requiro and Meta Weiss have won top prizes in international competitions, and are known for their virtuosity and lyricism on the instrument. It is rare treat for audiences that two cellists of this caliber have joined forces as a duo, and the result is a captivating and inspiring musical experience.

David Requiro is a Crowden School alumnus.
