Angus & Julia Stone are a brother-sister duo from Newport on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. Angus and Julia began to collaborate on their musical endeavours in early 2006. Prior to that, both had performed as solo artists, principally at open mike nights, but with each using the other as a backing partner.
The first notes of Snow are instantly transporting. The guitar is a scratchy, wooden memory laid over a moment of silence. The gently driving organ beat emerges and takes you with it, beginning the next enchanting journey with brother-sister duo, Angus and Julia Stone. "Running from the start, here we are again," Julia sings. "Running from the start, here we go again," comes her brother's reply. "Snow is both of us" Angus says of the first single from the fourth Angus & Julia Stone album. "We sat down and wrote it together." In that sense, the album continues a process the siblings began at the suggestion of producer Rick Rubin on their self-tilted album of 2014. "That was the first time that we actually started writing together, in the same room, and I guess we took a leaf from that chapter into this record. This time round though, every song on the record we wrote together" Angus says. Since the duo began performing together in 2006, their story has unfolded with an almost magical magnetism that has galvanised the world.

Clerestory invites you to ring in the season with Night of Snow, an all-new Christmas program, showcasing vibrant choral traditions from Spain, France, Portugal, and the Basque country.
From Spain, traditional Catalan songs complement intricate pieces by Tomas Luis de Victoria and Juan de Triana. Arrangements of carols from the Basque country showcase the region's distinctive flavor. We present reverent music written for cathedrals in Portugal, a country rarely represented in the musical repertoire. From France, Poulenc's masterpiece Un Soir de Neige is presented alongside traditional chants de Noel, as well as a modern setting of Patapan by beloved San Francisco composer David Conte.
Gather your friends and family and join Clerestory in kicking off December with Night of Snow.
