Story Hour in the Library is a monthly prose reading series held in UC Berkeley's Morrison Library. In March the program features author Scott Saul.
Scott Saul is a historian and critic who has written for <i>The New York Times</i>, <i>Harper's Magazine</i>, <i>The Nation</i> and other publications. He is the author of <i>Becoming Richard Pryor</i>, the first thoroughly researched biography of the comedian, and the creator of <i>Richard Pryor's Peoria</i> (www.becomingrichardpryor.com), a digital archive of materials from Pryor's formative years in that Midwestern city. He teaches courses in American literature and history at UC Berkeley, where he is an associate professor of English. He lives in Berkeley, CA, with his wife and son.
