Celebrate the final weekend in the PFA Theater

August 1
In 1999, due to seismic concerns, we moved our film screenings out of the Mario Ciampi building and across the street to an annex theater on the Berkeley campus. Now we are preparing to close the PFA Theater in anticipation of our move to the new BAM/PFA in downtown Berkeley, where our film programming will take place in the state-of-the-art Barbro Osher Theater. Join us on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, to bid adieu to the “temporary” PFA Theater. The weekend is packed with film screenings, special guests, live music, and a family workshop. Plus, BAM/PFA members will receive a special gift. Here’s the lineup:
SATURDAY, AUGUST 1
4:00 City Lights (Charlie Chaplin)
6:00 The Spirit of the Beehive with filmmaker Víctor Erice in person
8:00 Reception with refreshments and live music
8:45 Bicycle Thief (Vittorio de Sica)

4pm to 9pm, PFA Bancroft Way
