Widely-admired painter Squeak Carnwath celebrates her new book "Horizon on Fire: Works on Paper 1979-2013" with a discussion and signing at University Press Books
She will appear in conversation with Sonoma painter Chester Arnold. Her new book, published by Kelly’s Cove Press, collects nearly ninety images, offering viewers an intimate look at thirty-five years of works by the tirelessly inventive Oakland painter.
The book is published in connection with an exhibition: Squeak Carnwath, Horizon on Fire: Works on Paper, 1977-2013, opening at College of Marin Fine Arts Gallery, September 22, 2014. The show will travel to the Ulrich Museum of Art, University of Kansas; Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, University of Oregon; and Katzen Arts Center, American University.
