Featuring Ojai North! Music Director Jeremy Denk with selections from Janacek, including On An Overgrown Path interwoven with short works by Schubert, as well as Uri Caine's "Mahler Re-Imagined," featuring the music of Gustav Mahler viewed through Uri Caine's lens of transformation and improvisation (piano, bass, drums, clarinet, trumpet, violin, DJ).

PAZ: Fandango Urbano will create new community sones jarochos (music and dance!). The new sones will: be based on the Bay Area experience, both historical and contemporary; have universal themes; be created with community input and in such a way that invites others to continue to add to them over time.
Local son jarocho artists include Artemio Posadas, Kamakshi (lead singer of the band FUGA!) and María de la Rosa. International artists include Rubí Oseguera Rueda, Patricio Hidalgo Belli, and Liche Oseguera Rueda.
PAZ: Fandango Urbano has been commissioned by La Peña Cultural Center with support from National Performance Network.

The Ojai North! Music Festival culminates in an exciting performance that brings together all aspects of the festival. The performance includes works by Ligeti (Piano Études Books I & II), Ives (Psalm 90), and Beethoven (Fantasia in C minor for Piano, Chorus, and Orchestra, Op.80, "Choral Fantasy").
