John Shiurba assembled this expanded version of 5x5 at the behest of Suki O'Kane, as part of her "playing on the nines" series of concerts. Five percussionists will be joined by four guitarists in order to bring the numbers up to snuff. Shiurba combed through the 5x5 archives to cull five pieces that have a rhythmic focus for the occasion.
