Beth Shenk - saxophone
Beth Schenck is happy to have just landed in San Francisco. After spending the last seven years working as a saxophonist, composer and educator in New York City, she is thrilled to be teaching and performing here in the Bay Area. Besides being an active part of the downtown music scene in New York, she is lucky to have traveled all over the world playing music, and even more lucky to have been able to perform and work with great musicians like Jim Black, Andrew D'Angelo, Henry Threadgill, Bill McHenry and many others. In 2010, she released a debut recording, "What Shock Heard," which has been described by critics as "frank and beautiful." Originally from the mid-west, Beth pursued a BFA in Orchestral Saxophone Performance at Arizona State University. She continued her studies at California Institute of the Arts, where she earned her MFA in Jazz and African Performance.

Kanoko Nishi - koto
Corey Fogel and Kanoko Nishi have played music together in many different situations since 2006. Their inimitable abstractions galvanizes the loudest and quietest of listening environments. They share a mutual desire that their instruments accommodate any idea for making sound, creating an emotional feedback cycle of listening and demanding more.
