Who Owns Our Post Offices, and Who Sells Them While the Nation Sleeps? with Prof. Gray Brechin and Attorney Adam Ford
Gray Brechin will update us on the magnificent New Deal buildings, unique art works, and the postal system that Americans are now losing to privatization. Adam Ford, attorney will explain how he is challenging the right of U.S. Postal Service to sell the public's property. The sale of our historic post offices, paid for by American taxpayers, will profit a company owned by Senator Feinstein's husband, Richard Blum. The event is a benefit to support the the Berkeley-based National Post Office Collaborate.

The Deconstruction Of What You Know
Joshua Allen - tenor saxophone
Henry Kaiser - guitar
William Winant - drums
Timothy Orr - drums
"The Deconstruction Of What You Know" is a quartet designed to deal with the elements of sound generation and propulsion. The group contrasts sparse soundscapes with rhythmic density. Josh is best know for his intense Energy music with Marco Eneidi, and his associations with Matthew Goodheart and Garth Powell. Henry is an infamous guitarist working with musicians such as John Zorn, and doing sound tracks for Werner Herzog. William has worked with great composers like Xanakis, and post punk groups like Mr. Bungle. Tim is in constant demand around the Area, playing with musicians like David Boyce, and Rent Romus. "The Deconstruction Of What You Know" proves to be a formidable quartet.
