Ensemble, a super group commissioned by JMF that has toured internationally. The Bay Area Arkers include Stuart Brotman (Veretski Pass, Brave Old World) on bass, Jewlia Eisenberg (she's a Charming Hostess) on vocals, Glenn Hartman (New Orleans Klezmer All Stars) on accordion, Jessica Ivry (Real Vocal String Quartet) on cello and John Schott on guitar, plus special guests. Dance maven Bruce Bierman will be happy to teach you some steps.

With Kris Palmer on wood flute, Nancy Kim on cello, and Steve Lin on guitar, the Black Cedar Trio brings recent works from Asia rarely heard on this side of the Pacific: the music of Cambodia's Chinary Ung, Korea's Sook-Ja Oh, China's Lei Liang, Thailand's Narongrit Dhamabutra, and New Zealand's Ross Carey, along with music by the masterful cinema composer Toru Takemitsu of Japan, whose music colors numerous Akira Kurosawa movies.
