Paul McNees: Koinonia Music Fest

Koinonia Music Fest (Koinonia is the anglicisation of a Greek word (κοινωνία) that means communion by intimate participation; or better, a third mind created between two minds in communion). Performers from the "experimental" music community speak about their work and then do a short performance. The evening concludes in a Q & A with the audience and all the performers.

The aim is three-fold: one is to provide a context through which those unfamiliar with experimental music may come to appreciate its more subtle beauty. Another is to allow long-time listeners a chance to hear about the intimate inner workings of the music they love. Lastly, to create a rich dialogue between artists whose paths may not have otherwise crossed.

Participants are Myles Boisen backed by John Schott and Pale Reverse backed by Lorin Murphy.
