Chris Forsyth (solo)
Guitarist Chris Forsyth's hypnotic compositions assimilate art rock texture with folk, blues, and experimental influences. Long active in the improv/experimental underground, he's released a series of acclaimed records over the past few years, including his 2011 LP Paranoid Cat onFamily Vineyard and Early Astral, a 2012 duo LP with Mountains' Koen Holtkamp on Blackest Rainbow. His 2012 Kenzo Deluxe LP/CD on Northern Spy has been described as "resonant [and] incisive... a cosmic abstraction of the American guitar tradition, reducing blues, rock, folk and improvisation into their spare, hypnotic base elements." (Philadelphis City Paper). Forsyth has toured throughout Europe and the US, sharing stages with such like-minded artists as Steve Gunn, Bill Orcutt, Rhys Chatham, and Träd Gräs och Stenar, and, from 2002 to 2011, as a member of Peeesseye. He has also collaborated with artists including Meg Baird, Tetuzi Akiyama, Mike Pride, Nate Wooley, and choreographers Miguel Gutierrez, RoseAnne Spradlin, and Meg Foley. Forsyth was awarded a 2011 Pew Fellowship in the Arts and resides in the City of Philadelphia, USA.

Heule/Shelton/Wick trio
Heule/Shelton/Wick is an improvising trio. Heule/Shelton/Wick consists of Jacob Felix Heule, Aram Shelton, and Jacob Wick, all of whom live in the Bay Area. Heule/Shelton/Wick concentrates on producing restrained textures via the production of sounds, sounds that may be in common with each other or with the ambient environment. These sounds may be or may not be in common with assumed output of the instruments used to produce them, but always are produced with the intention of creating a novel sonic environment. As such, there is not much that can be stated about the intentions or assumed directions of Heule/Shelton/Wick, as these intentions or directions may shift according to each different scenario. Certainly, though, Heule/Shelton/Wick is a trio of improvisors.

With songs from Tom Waits' album Blood Money, this is a musical Shotgun can really sink its teeth into! Woyzeck is a young soldier just home from war. The hope of rekindled love with his sweetheart Marie, which sustained him in the trenches, begins to unravel as reality sets in upon his return. Profound and moving, the sweet tragedy of this piece makes for a cathartic and extraordinary night at the theater.
